Efkan Şeşen: Musical Rebel with a Unique Voice
Efkan Şeşen, born in 1963 in Istanbul, has lived a life full of struggle for human rights and freedom. His character and spirit of resistance are reflected in his songs and albums. He is a musician and producer who stands with the people with his opposition songs.
As co-founder of Grup Yorum in 1987, he was their soloist for four years. He produced his own music and released 15 albums, including two unique whistle albums that received worldwide attention.
Since 2016, Efkan has lived in the Netherlands and works with his son. His latest album "ID", featuring songs in nine languages, was released on May 1, 2021.
